We charge as low as $8 per pound for all shipments from the USA to Nigeria and Ghana. Our minimum weight is 1 pound. Fragile items like TV and glass furniture have an optional crating fee. Please see the full pricing page for all the rate details.
Are there additional or hidden charges?
There are no additional shipping and clearing charges. But, a delivery charge applies to all packages not picked up at the Lagos warehouse. It costs $15 to deliver non-extra large Items (Phones, laptops, clothing, etc. under 10 lbs) within Lagos and $20 outside. For extra-large items (TVs, Speakers, Consoles, etc. above 10 lbs), delivery within Lagos costs $20 and $30 outside Lagos. Please see the full pricing page for more details.
How long does it take to get my package delivered to Nigeria?
10 - 14 days from the day the package ships out of the US airport if there is zero customs delay in Nigeria. The 10 - 14 days doesn’t include the time it takes for the US store to deliver the package to our US warehouse. We ship packages every Thursday.
Do you ship from other countries apart from the US to Nigeria and Ghana?
Not yet. We ship only from the US to Nigeria and Ghana for now.
Do you ship items sent from friends or family members in the US?
Yes, we can. But, with some restrictions such as - the proof of payment for the item has to be in your name. Also, you must be willing to provide more information about the sender like contact details, government-issued ID and any other info we need.
What is the process of shipping from the U.S to Nigeria using Heroshe?

What are the accepted methods of payment?
We accept payment in Naira or US Dollars through bank-to-bank transfers and debit or credit cards. We are unable to accept cash, and cash on delivery. Payment in Cedis is coming soon.

Yes, we charge a fee of $15 for non-extra large items within Lagos. For non-extra large items outside Lagos, we charge a fee of $20. Additionally, pick up is available in our Lagos office.
What items can't I ship with Heroshe?
We don't ship standalone laptop batteries, items containing Nicotine, ammunition, and its accessories e.g. guns, paintball guns, bullets etc. You can read this guide for other items we don't ship.
How long does it take to get my package delivered to Nigeria?

Does Heroshe offer shipping insurance against loss, theft or damage?
Yes, we do. But, you must report any loss, theft, or damage within 72 hours after you receive your package to get a full refund for your item. We don’t refund international shipping costs. Free Cargo Insurance covers fragile items (e.g. TV, glass items) only if the item was crated before shipping. Fragile items shipped without crating do not qualify for free cargo insurance.
What happens if my package gets missing in transit?
We go the extra mile in making sure your package arrives at your doorstep, safely. If we ship any package for you and it goes missing, we will take full responsibility for it. In a few weeks, customers will be able to get their items insured.
Are my items consolidated at the Heroshe U.S. Warehouse?
Yes, we consolidate your items if they all arrive at the warehouse at the same time. Otherwise, we process your items as they arrive.
Do you ship items sent from friends or family members in the US?

How do I use SplitPay?
At the payment page, click on Split Pay. This generates payment links that you can send to three people. The three of them can support you by paying a percentage of your shipping fee.
How can I change my shipping address?
Login to your Heroshe dashboard. Click on settings and select address book. You have two options: edit the former address or add a new one.
Can I schedule a delivery company to pick up my package on my behalf at Heroshe Lagos Office?
Yes, you can. But you have to first schedule a pick-up from your Heroshe dashboard and give the reference number to the delivery driver.
How do I track my shipment?
To track your shipment from the USA to Nigeria or Ghana, Heroshe provides a unique shipment status for each package. By checking the status, you can determine at what stage your item is in its journey to you. To get familiar with the different shipping statuses, please refer to our blog post explaining the different shipping status.
Are my fragile items safe with Heroshe?
Yes, they are. But we charge an optional fee for crating fragile items such as TV, Large Screen Monitors, Glass Furnishings, Glass Items, Wine, etc. You will be notified via email or phone if we receive a fragile item at the US warehouse that needs crating.
How do I fund and pay from my wallet?
Login to your Heroshe dashboard. Hover your mouse over your wallet and select top-up wallet. Enter the amount you want to top up in Naira and click on fund wallet. This redirects you to the safe and secure Paystack page where you will enter your card details and pay. This increases your wallet balance.
To pay, click on shipment to see all your pending transactions. Select the right shipments and choose pay now. This redirects you to a payment page. Pay with your Heroshe wallet and you get instant receipts.
How can I schedule pick-up or delivery from the Heroshe Lagos Office?
Login to your Heroshe dashboard. Click on pickups. On the top right, select schedule pickup.
Why do I need to provide proof of purchase?
We need it to be compliant with the guideline of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for shipping consumer electronics and high-value luxury products. This helps them confirm that the item was purchased legally.
How long does it take for the DHS to verify the proof of purchase?
All shipments leaving the US are subject to verification by the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
If your item is randomly picked for verification and you have followed the proof of purchase guideline we provided, the verification may take up to 7-10 days depending on the volume of items being verified.
If the proof of purchase you uploaded did not follow the proof of purchase guidelines we provided, it could take anywhere from 1-6 months.
If the proof of purchase turns out to be fake, the item under verification will be confiscated and destroyed by the DHS.
Once the item is released, our regular shipping cycle of 10 - 14 days will kick in.
What happens if I provide all the required information and my items are still not released to be shipped? What action can I take?
If you have uploaded the Proof of Purchase (PoP) based on the guidelines provided, your items will definitely scale quickly through the verification process. The only way your item would not be released after providing the required information is if it is deemed to be contraband or the item was bought through a fraudulent transaction. Otherwise, your items should be released after verification based on our experience with the DHS.
If a family member/friend is sending me an electronic device, how do I provide proof of purchase?
The family member or friend can provide proof of purchase either using the original payment receipt or payment card transaction history.
We cannot ship an item without valid proof of purchase.
If the family/friend has already shipped this item to our warehouse without proof of purchase, we would request a return shipping label to ship it back to them.
What document format is required for the proof of purchase?

What details should be included in the proof of purchase?
Your proof of purchase should include the following details at a minimum: Billing address, method of payment, description of items purchased, order numbers, and shipping address. We realize that stores have different receipt formats. These differences will be taken into account.
What do I do if I don’t have proof of purchase?
We will not ship high-value items out of the country without valid proof of purchase. If you are unable to provide the required proof of purchase and you have shipped your items to our US warehouse, we would be unable to ship your package, you can retrieve your items by providing a return label.
Can I retract a proof of purchase after submission?
No, you would not be able to retract the proof of purchase.
However, when your proof of purchase is denied by Heroshe or rejected by the DHS, the portal will be opened for you to upload a new one.
How do I confirm that my proof of purchase has been accepted and verified by the DHS?
You will receive an email notification and your order status will be updated on your Dashboard. Your item will be shipped to you with the next cargo shipment.
Can I reach out to the DHS personally?
Yes, you are allowed to reach out to them directly. However, this is not advisable as this may create some confusion in communication and elongate the process. It is advisable that you allow Heroshe to be your point of contact to expedite the verification process.
If my ship-to name does not match with the bill-to name on the receipt, what happens?
The person who made payment for you will be contacted by the DHS to verify that they made a payment on your behalf. This may prolong the time for the verification of your items.
